The following was sent to us by Polly Elmore of PR Works:

South Riding, VA -- Curry’s Auto Service is donating $15,000 to Dulles South Youth Sports (DSYS) Football  Friday, October 8, at 7 pm, at Freedom High School, 25450 Riding Center Drive, South Riding.

Chris Coulter, Curry's Vice President, and Aundria McCarthy, Curry's marketing manager, will present the check to  Gus DiPierro, Commissioner for DSYS. The check is seed money for the “Curry’s Field and Scholarship Fund,” which will provide athletic scholarships to DSYS players and funding for a future field facility.

Since 1997, Matt and Judy Curry, owners of Curry's Auto, have donated their time and money (totaling over $150,000) to 57 national and regional charitable groups, churches, parent-teacher associations, and youth athletic clubs. In 2007, Matt took time off from his business to raise $209,000, with which he launched Dulles South Youth Sports (DSYS). Close to 1,000 area children and teens participate in the DSYS leagues.

Curry's, DSYS and the Freedom High School Eagles have teamed up to establish and support the Curry's Field and Scholarship Fund. In addition to their kick-off donation of $15,000, Curry's will donate $25 to the fund for every touchdown the Freedom Varsity team scores this season.
