Leesburg Parks & Recreation Department Hosts 5th Annual Charity Dance and Food Drive on Friday, Nove

From the Town of Leesburg – The Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Steps Ballroom and Interfaith Relief to offer its 5th annual charity dance and food drive at Ida Lee Recreation Center on November 12, 2010, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.

This is a free event.  Donations of non-perishable food and goods will be collected in lieu of admission to be distributed through Interfaith Relief.  Monetary donations will also be accepted.

“Especially this year as the holidays approach, we wanted to offer a way for people to reach out to those who are in need of assistance,” explained Rich Williams, Director of Leesburg’s Parks & Recreation Department.  “We encourage everyone to come enjoy a night of dancing and do a world of good.”

The three hour event starts at 7:00 PM with an introductory Rumba lesson.  Mixed dancing will begin at 8:00 PM and run until 10:00 PM.  Dance exhibitions will be given by Steps Ballroom students and teachers.  Beginners are welcome to come and try the various dances.  This event is suitable for both singles and couples.  Casual dress is appropriate.
