Powder Puff Game to Raise Money for the Loudoun Breast Health Network

The following was sent to us by Stone Bridge High School:

Ashburn, Virginia, October 13, 2010 -- Stone Bridge High School is hosting our sixth annual DECA Powder Puff Game, a junior vs. senior girls flag football game.  This popular homecoming event is being held on October 18, 2010.  The stands will be flooded with pink and the majority of the student body will be present.  We are raising money for the Loudoun Breast Health Network (LBHN) by selling pink t-shirts, neon sunglasses, raffle tickets for an autographed football signed by the 2010 Washington Redskins and $3 tickets to the game.  One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will go to the LBHN.

This is the second year we have donated to Loudoun Breast Health Network, a non-profit, community based organization located in Loudoun County.  They support women diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Loudoun County.  We chose to donate to this organization because they are local and we know exactly what our donation will be used for.  Last year we donated $5,200 to the organization, enabling them to purchase 80 wigs, 96 mastectomy/lumpectomy leisure bras, 150 soft prosthesis pockets, and 50 scarves/turbans/hats for their patients.

The main goal Stone Bridge DECA has set for this year’s event is to raise community awareness in an effort to raise more money for the LBHN.  We are contacting local media outlets hoping to generate significant media coverage.

The game in October 18,2010 at 6:30pm. Gates will open at 6:00pm.
