From Loudoun Sheriff:

Loudoun County, VA:  The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred at a residence in the Great Falls Chase community early Saturday morning.
Around 5 a.m. on August, 6, 2011, Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence in the 20900 block of Chippoaks Forest Circle regarding an altercation that ended in gunfire.
Several subjects were inside the home and during the altercation one of the subjects brandished a firearm and a struggle ensued.  At some point the firearm was discharged and one of the subjects was struck. The victim is currently at the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Due to a lack of cooperation from the occupants of the home, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office activated the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) to secure the home and the weapon. Incident Commanders at the scene also activated the Reverse 911 system advising residents in the immediate vicinity to stay in their homes as a precaution. The home has since been secured and the firearm has been recovered.
The incident remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
