From Jim Plowman:

Leesburg, Virginia –  A Loudoun County Grand Jury returned true bills on a three count indictment charging Aaron H. Thomas with Rape, Abduction with Intent to Defile, and Forcible Sodomy.  The three felonies carry a potential punishment of three life sentences.

It is anticipated that a Capias will issue from the Loudoun County Circuit Court this week for Thomas’ arrest which should ultimately secure his return to Virginia to face trial.  Thomas is currently in custody in Connecticut on charges stemming from a 2007 attack in New Haven.  Thomas has also been charged in Prince William County, Virginia with six felonies and likely faces charges in other area jurisdictions.

“This is a very satisfying time for the law enforcement community after years of intense investigation,” said Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Plowman.  “While these investigations continue, we will now concentrate much of our effort on ensuring that Thomas is incapable of preying on further victims.”

The community is encouraged to continue to provide law enforcement with any information that might be related to this individual, including any unreported crimes.  Public information on this case is also available at www.eastcoastrapist.com.
