A Colombian-native, Cano began with a love for art before she knew food was her real passion. As a graduate of Art Institute of Washington, D.C., she merged her two loves of food and art. Expansion at Ashby Ponds Unveils New Opportunities for Employment in Loudoun County

(Ashburn, Va.) - In 2012, Loudoun County was ranked by CNN Money as the top county in the U.S. for job growth, with a reported growth of 83.6% from 2000 to 2011. Easy access to Washington, D.C., the proximity to Dulles International Airport, and the impending expansion of Metro’s silver line into the county are often cited for Loudoun’s appeal to businesses and residents alike. Ashby Ponds, one of 16 Erickson Living retirement communities, opened in 2008 and now employs nearly 100 full time and 200 part-time staff members at the community in Ashburn. The community continues to experience a high demand for further development and will be opening a brand new Continuing Care neighborhood in early 2014. As a result, Ashby Ponds will be adding over 100 new positions in areas from nursing and social work to culinary and facility management.
