From Loudoun County -- The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors encourages residents to become actively involved in their county government. There are currently opportunities for people to serve on the following advisory boards, commissions and committees.

  • Advisory Commission on Youth: One at-large representative, Leesburg District
  • Animal Advisory Committee: Dulles District
  • Community Criminal Justice Board: At-large representative, Broad Run & Potomac Districts
  • Commuter Bus Advisory Board: At-large representative
  • Courthouse Grounds and Facility Committees: At-large representatives
  • Disability Services Board: Three at-large representatives
  • Family Services Board: At-large representative
  • Heritage Commission: One at-large representative and a representative from each election district; Blue Ridge, Broad Run, Catoctin, Dulles, Leesburg, Potomac, Sterling and Sugarland Run Districts; and seven citizen representatives with specific knowledge and experience.   • Housing Advisory Board: One for-profit affordable housing developer; One at-large public representative
  • Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Resident Advisory Board: Three regular members and one alternate member (Must be a resident of a Housing Choice Voucher household). For more information, contact Stuart Shatz, HCV Division Manager, at 703-737-8969.
  • Loudoun Health Council: One local physician, one general public representative, one health-related non-profit agency representative  
  • Transportation Safety Commission: Blue Ridge and Sugarland Run Districts
