Loudoun County Schedules Homebuyer Education Classes

The Loudoun County Department of Family Services will be facilitating Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) homebuyer education classes in the first half of 2011.

The six-hour classes, with a curriculum provided by VHDA, provide a basic overview of the home buying process and are directed towards first-time homebuyers.  They are offered over two evenings and there is no cost to attend.  The next classes are scheduled for February 22 and 24, 2011, at the Shenandoah Building, 102 Heritage Way, N.E. in Leesburg. Asburn to Host Chamber of Commerce Program

The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce has 1,100 members, making it one of the largest chambers in the area. This Wednesday, August 11, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce is holding its “State of the Loudoun Economy” program at 8:00 a.m. at the Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, VA.

The program will be led by Tim Hemstreet, who is the country administrator, as well as Stephen S. Fuller, who is the director of the Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University. The chamber will be offering its outlook for the county.
