Three-day photo expo features free admission, free vendor demos and free classes for beginning photographers, as well as 15+ reasonably-priced advanced seminars, classes and lectures with experts like Bryan Peterson. Hands-on learning includes iPhone photography and shooting raptors (live hawks, owls and falcons) in a natural setting.

The 2013 Nature Visions Expo, organized by seven photography clubs of the Mid Atlantic Photography Association, comes to the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia  on November 8-10, 2013 (8 minutes from I-66 Exit 44 at the Prince William campus of George Mason University).

Loudoun County Invites Farmers To Participate in 2011 Fall Farm Tour

The Loudoun County Department of Economic Development has started planning for the 2011 Fall Farm Color Tour scheduled for Saturday, October 15, and Sunday, October 16, from 10:00 a.m. to  4:00 p.m.

The Fall Farm Color Tour is a free, self-guided tour that is designed to showcase local, active farms in the county. The goal of the tour is to promote Loudoun County’s farms by sponsoring a weekend tourism event to increase awareness and educate the public about agriculture and the rural economy in Loudoun. It is also an attempt to inform consumers of what products are grown and are available locally.

The Loudoun County Arbor Day celebration is Saturday, April 30, 2011, at The Hill School, 130 South Madison Street, Middleburg.  Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until 3:00 p.m.  The free, family-friendly event will feature many activities, exhibits and demonstrations highlighting the countless benefits that are associated with trees. Student winners of the annual Arbor Day Poster Contest will be recognized at the event by Loudoun County Public Schools Superintendent Edgar Hatrick, and Loudoun County Administrator Tim Hemstreet, who will be the keynote speaker for the event. The theme of this year’s poster contest is “Loudoun Celebrates Trees – The Anchors of the Earth.”
