John Swann Evans of South Riding, VA has been charged for sexually assaulted a woman he met on an online dating website. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is concerned that there may be other victims who have just not come forward.

Evans, 34, was charged with abduction with intent to defile and forcible sodomy. Police say he met the victim, a 37-year-old woman from Loudoun County, on E-Harmony in June 2010. A month later, the two met at the victim’s home and at this time he held her against her will and sexually assaulted her. Evans is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

While I know many people have wonderful experiences with online dating sites, it is important to always take caution because you never know who you are dealing with on the other end. If you chose to meet individuals through websites like this, it is important to first meet-up in a public location.
